RMH Begins Corporate Pink Days for Area Businesses

7/7/2011

Richland Memorial Hospital is encouraging local businesses to “Go Pink” for a day! Corporate Pink Days are a simple way for your organization to have fun and raise awareness about breast health within the community and the importance of annual mammograms. RMH will provide posters/flyers for you to use at your business, an educational seminar over the lunch hour, door prizes/drawings, and any other needed assistance with your special day. On the day of participation, employees who make a donation to the Komen Foundation would be allowed to wear jeans as well as their choice of something “pink” in support of those who are fighting breast cancer, or have survived it.
RMH has a team that is participating in the “Race for the Cure” on September 24, 2011 and will present the donations to the Susan G. Komen Foundation on that day, along with funds raised from other area businesses. Roughly 75% of the funds raised by the “Race for the Cure” in Evansville, IN in September will be used for the Greater Evansville Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure – meaning that most of the money that we raise will be used in the Illinois and Indiana counties that are served by this affiliate. The other 25% is used by the national organization to fund research.
Come join the fun and support a great cause. Partner with your local hospital and help ease the burden that this horrible disease places on so many of our very own women in our community.
