RMH Holds Volleyball Tourney During Hospital Week

As part of the 2012 Hospital Week festivities, Richland Memorial Hospital held its first Hospital Week Volleyball Tournament for its employees. Facilitated by the “Working on Wellness” or “WOW” Committee, employees, board members, and medical staff were encouraged to put together teams of 6-8 people for a single elimination tournament. Response for the event was outstanding with 11 teams signing up to participate.

Of the 11 teams, “The Aces” team, comprised of several of the Plant Services employees, was victorious and took home the tournament trophy. Members of the winning team include: Wayne Kocher, Janet Smallwood and Bill Everette. Back row: Barry Bergbower, Bruce Minor and Les Harrison. Not pictured are Brad Shryock and Kelsey Schilt.

The WOW Committee is a group of employees from different RMH departments that meet to discuss ways to motivate employees to lead healthier lifestyles through regular exercise and healthy eating habits.
