RMH Receives HFAP Accreditation

After several days of surveyors visiting the various departments of Richland Memorial Hospital in late 2010, RMH officially received its Certificate of Accreditation in early spring.

The accreditation is for a three year term.

HFAP, or Healthcare Facilities Accreditation Program, is one of only three national voluntary accreditation programs authorized by the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services to survey hospitals for compliance with the Medicare Conditions of Participation and Coverage.

Receiving Full Accreditation indicates that a healthcare facility meets the HFAP accreditation requirements in all performance areas.
