Auxiliary of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital Purchases Wheelchairs

February 23, 2018

The Auxiliary of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital recently donated the funds to purchase two wheelchairs. One wheelchair is shared between the Urology and Orthopedic Clinics while the other was purchased for the Primary Care Clinic. The wheelchairs are already in use in both clinics and have been very helpful for those patients who have limited mobility.

The Auxiliary holds several fundraisers throughout the year to raise money for projects and needs of Carle Richland Memorial Hospital. Proceeds from the East Street Boutique also go in support of the hospital. In addition to the wheelchair purchase, four electronic Device Charging Stations will soon be available in the hospital (co-sponsored by TrustBank ™); and a blanket warmer for the Chemotherapy Department, made possible through Kathy Wilson memorial donations and Auxiliary fundraisers.  Additionally, $110,000 has been paid toward the Auxiliary’s $130,000 pledge for the CRMH MRI facility.  The remaining $20,000 will be fulfilled this year.  The Auxiliary is excited about completing its pledge and supporting new projects for the Hospital.

If you feel you would like to be a part of this worthwhile organization, call the Volunteer Services Department at Carle Richland Memorial Hospital at 618-395-7340 ext. 4009 for more information on being a member.
