Carle Richland Memorial Hospital is committed to being a leader in breast health screening and diagnostics by offering 3D, digital mammography for its patients. Every woman who has her mammogram at our hospital will receive a 3D exam, which means we can detect any possible abnormality sooner than ever before. Early detection is key to having the best outcomes. Medical authorities are calling 3D mammography the most exciting advancement in breast cancer detection in more than 30 years, allowing the radiologist to look into the breast tissue one millimeter at a time with astounding detail and clarity.
In addition to producing clear, precise images of the breast to the finest detail, our 3D, digital mammography unit features an advanced ergonomic design for the comfort of women having the procedure and has low-dose radiation technology. Images are read and interpreted by Clinical Radiologists, SC of Springfield, IL, who are experts in breast imaging. Extended hours are offered for the convenience of our patients:
Monday, Tuesday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Wednesday 9:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Thursday, Friday 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
